AIA Certification

In collaboration with its strategic partners, AIA offers a series of well researched and designed programs covering imagination, creativity, innovation and strategy which cater for the various levels of individuals and specific organisational requirements. However, responsibility for certification and accreditation of all innovation-related training programs rests with AIA in strict compliance with ISO Innovation Management Standards 56000 applicable to innovation certification bodies.

THE AIA CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

AIA acts as an innovation certifying body for individuals in the science of innovation. As a certifying body, AIA’s goal is to ensure that individuals meet the requirements for certification by providing a body of knowledge with standardised certification examinations.

AIA helps individuals gain knowledge and skills in the science of innovation through receiving training from our approved training providers and preparing for AIA certification examinations. AIA has significant resources for its members and training providers.

The CII Certification will prove that the individual has acquired a broad range of knowledge and skills to be able to generate ideas, to think outside the box and to provide valuable ideas to the more senior professionals in the organisation for evaluation, selection and implementation.

AIA CERTIFIED INNOVATION INITIATOR

The CIF Certification will prove the individual’s knowledge about innovation management and implementation tools, methodologies, challenges and opportunities. This certification will prove that the individual possesses the skills required for turning a viable idea into an innovation product or service or program or business model..

AIA CERTIFIED INNOVATION FACILITATOR

The CIA Certification will prove the individual’s knowledge about leading the innovation efforts by creating a culture of innovation throughout the organisation and learning how to explore rapidly accelerating trends in the science of innovation. This certification will help leaders to recognise and seize innovation opportunities in the VUCA world.

AIA CERTIFICATION FRAMEWORK

It Consists of

The AIA certification framework consists of three levels. It is based on the increasing levels of knowledge and skills covered in each innovation training level and the individual’s level of competency in the innovation field. AIA certification examinations are developed by a number of experts in the science of innovation. Examination questions cover the various components of each level and are conducted online through AIA website.

AIA levels are

The first level is the AIA certification program is the Certified Innovation Initiator level which considered to the foundation level. The next level is the Certified Innovation Facilitator level for middle management members who are required to function as innovation practitioners. The third level is the Certified Innovation Advocator for senior management members who are responsible for creating and supporting a culture for innovation throughout their organisations.

The AIA certification, once obtained, is valid for three years from the certification date.
